This is one busy week for me. It started yesterday (or rather late late last night) when I worked as an extra on the movie, "Split Ends" which features 2 Sopranos, Vincent Pastore and Paul Borghese. They have been filming this movie for the last couple of weeks in Clifton, Paterson and Bloomfield, NJ. I participated in the final scene of the film, where the battle between the big developer and the small town business owner comes to a head at the fictional New Jersey town of Manningtree Council meeting. The movie, directed by Dorothy Lyman (The Nanny) also features Corinna May, Lawton Paseka, Kate Russo and Jicky Schnee. Vinny was also spotted recently filming in the Boston area, "Tricks of a Woman"

Then Monday and Thursday nights I have tickets for the biggest Jersey event of the year, Bruce Springsteen at Giant Stadium. Tuesday night, I am looking forward to seeing Vinny Pastore getting roasted at The Friar's Club.

I can't make this event for Saturday but I received an email asking me to reach out to fellow Sopranos fans for some help;

Please come out on Saturday, August 2nd at 9 AM to help clean up the Jersey City & Harsimus Cove Cemetery at 435 Newark Avenue, Jersey City.

Founded in 1829, it truly is a historic site (and famous as "The Sopranos Family Cemetery") and due to the death of previous board members, it has fallen into disrepair. A new board of trustees has recently been set up to oversee the cemetery, and they would like to invite you to come out and help. This 179 year old cemetery desperately needs some helping hands to help restore this piece of local and television history.

The clean-up will begin at 9 AM on August 2nd. It is located on Newark Avenue, just west of 7th Street, across the street from Dickinson High School. Please bring along sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and a weed-wacker if you have one.

Refreshments will be served.

Another Sopranos location is going to need some help, but this one from an insurance adjuster. The Magic Touch Auto Spa suffered major damage in a fire that occurred on Thursday.

Drea DeMatteo (Adriana LaCuerva) was spotted in Meriden, Conn filming the movie "Once More with Feeling" at Jacoby's restaurant Thursday afternoon. She was also spotted in Middletown doing what she does best, acting.

Now we have a "no" on the possibility of a Sopranos movie.

Birthdays for this week; The luckiest kid on the block, Frank Borelli who played the character of Vito Spatafore, Jr on July 28, Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) on July 29, Jeff Marchetti (Petey La Rosa), Tony Lip (Carmine Luppertazzi) and Peter Bogdanovich (Dr. Elliot Kupferberg) on July 30 and my birthday twin Al Sapienza (Mikey Palmice) on July 31.
