Sopranos News for October 15, 2009

If you are attending, the Friday theatrical release of "Where the WIld Things Are", James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano), is one of the voices in this feature flick. If you haven't gotten a chance to see Mr. Gandolfini in the broadway play, "Gods of Carnage", you'd better hurry, he is expected to leave the cast around November 14.

On October 30, Aida Turturro (Janice Soprano) will be a guest on the 9 pm airing of the program "Medium" on the CBS network, according to the Futon Critic website.

And where was Frank Sinatra, Jr. when he was asked to do a cameo on "The Sopranos"?

The movie "Chicago Overcoat", premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival on October 10. The movie stars Frank Vincent (Phil Leotardo). It screens again on October 19, if you missed it.

John Ventimiglia (Artie Bucco) reads Jack Kerouac passages from the book "Big Sur" in the DVD, "One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur ."

I just found out that the guest MC's at the World Hungerthon event being held at NYC's Hard Rock Cafe next Thursday, October 22 include Vincent Curatola (Johnny Sack), Maureen Van Zandt (Gabriella Dante), Arthur Nascarella (Carlo Gervasi) (this could be the Sopranos Reunion you don't want to miss), May Pang, and other surprise celebrities. The show will feature Gary US Bonds, Willie Nile, La Dolce Vita with Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltisanti), Tom Chapin, Jen Chapin, Little Steven's Garage Girls A Go Go,Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan, Chris Brown & Bookends, KateTaylor, Lisa Bouchelle... and to top off the evening, a jam by VincentPastore's band The Bada Bing Boys – along with some very specialco-hosts and friends!

I also found out that Charity Folks,are auctioning off 5 pairs of tickets, which includes reserved seatsand entrance to the Bada Bing Room the night of the event. Click on Vincent's smiling face to bid

Showtime is 6 pm, and the festivities will go late into the night. Tickets are available thru Ticketmaster and at the Hard Rock box office located at 1501 Broadway (Times Square) in New York City.

Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy) recently filmed a commercial for the 'Get Crackin' campaign, which you've probably seen on television, if not, here's the You Tube link.
